Vineyard Notes | June 2025 A quiet transformation is underway among the vines. 🌿🍇 Our latest update from viticulturist Dave Grosser paints a picture of calm and quiet progress in the vineyard. After May’s generous rains and a near-flood that left the soils sodden, June has brought classic winter serenity - frost-tipped mornings giving way to still, golden afternoons. Though the vineyard may seem at rest, the vines are quietly storing energy, preparing for spring’s rush. Pruning has now begun. One chapter closes as another begins: we’ve farewelled our Merlot vines in rows 17–34, making way for Gamay - a variety we’re excited to welcome to Talits. The soil will rest and breathe through winter, part of the gentle rhythm of renewal.
