Built towards the front of the property, the Talits Estate Cellar Door offers a more contemporary take on the old-world glamour of the Estate’s Homestead, whilst still staying true to the French-inspired legacy.

Opened in 2020, the Cellar Door allows you to indulge in the current range of Talits Estate wines, as well as some that are not available online or in bottle stores.

A typical tasting will take you through around 8 wines including our popular Rosé of both still and sparkling variety, as well as Blanc de Blancs, Arneis, Semillon, Sangiovese Merlot, Estate Merlot and Pinot Syrah. Tastings are for $10 per person, however, current accommodation guests and Wine Club Member tastings are complimentary.

You’re also most welcome to buy a glass or bottle and enjoy in-house, taking in the view of our lake, fountain and wildlife.

Upon walking into the Cellar, you might be intrigued to see our draught tap upon the Bar. Broke Brewing is our own beer brand (because why not!), and we offer schooners on tap to enjoy at the Cellar.

Our cheese and charcuterie are sourced from local providores, Binnorie Dairy (Lovedale) and Hungerford Meat Co (Branxton). Our cakes are lovingly homemade in the Cellar Door kitchen, perfect to be paired with a Barista coffee.

Walk-ins are welcome, however, with the Government Guidelines we advise you to pre-book your tasting to avoid any disappointment.

Open Friday to Sunday + Public Holidays, 10am to 5pm

“Had the most lovely weekend at Talits, beautiful wine and great service! Be sure to get a cheeseboard which was so beautifully put together and went so well with the new Rosè!”

“Our weekend in the Hunter was made complete by our visit to the beautiful Talits Estate! There is nothing quite like it in the area. Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful, wines are varied (with something to please all palettes) and the cellar door setting is welcoming and homely. The cheese and charcuterie boards compliment the wines perfectly and are generous serves. Highly recommend – we will be back!”

“This place is stunning – the perfect escape from the usual commercial spots in the Hunter Valley. The food is simple but delicious, and their wines are diverse and a true representation of the region.”

“Beautiful new cellar door, really friendly staff, wines are delicious – makes you feel as though you’re in France!”
