Vineyard Notes | October 2025
The vineyard is in full bloom, and the rhythm of spring continues. 🌸🍇

Flowering is now complete across the estate. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay have reached fruit set, while the Merlot lingers a little longer in bloom, each variety moving to its own quiet tempo.

October brought dry skies and high winds, with gusts sweeping through the vines and reshaping the air. Rain returned only in the final week, along with heavy dews and rising humidity, a reminder of how quickly the season can shift.

Foliage wires have been lifted in the Pinot and Chardonnay, giving the young canopies space to rise. The vines are healthy, clean, and steadily progressing.

We also welcomed our newest arrivals. Pinot Gris and Gamay are now in the ground. Early signs are slow, particularly for the Gamay, but we’ll be watching closely.

In the vineyard, every detail matters.

Vineyard Notes | September 2025 with viticulturist, Dave Grosser

The first green tips of spring have returned.

Budburst is now gently unfolding across the vineyard - slow and steady, coaxed to life by soft September sun after a wet and lingering winter. A brush with frost passed harmlessly, leaving the valley quiet and expectant.

New shoots emerge - delicate and determined.
The vines, though cautious, are beginning their upward reach.

Our Chardonnay and Pinot have been carefully shoot thinned, giving light and air to the growing canopy.

Beneath the soil, new plantings of Pinot Gris and Gamay await their moment.

The season turns slowly here, with the promise of vintage 2026 beginning to breathe.
